System Migration from 16th July to 25th July 2025
Clinical System Migration Plan
We are changing our clinical system which will cause some disruption to our services between Wednesday 16th July and Friday 25th July.
Wednesday 16th July
- 3pm the practice will stop receiving test results and Out of Hours reports.
- 3pm online services – NHS Wales App – will be turned off.
Thursday 17th July – loss of system 12.00 – 18.30
- Systems are shut down completely from 12 noon. We will cease to have access to a clinical system, which includes medical records, test results and emails.
- Clinics will only be available in the morning. Contacts from 12 noon will be assessed for urgency and may be advised to call another time.
- Routine repeat prescriptions will cease to be processed – in June we produced 2 monthly prescriptions and post-dated prescriptions (which pharmacies should have) to cover the 2-week period of our migration.
Friday 18th July – Tuesday 22nd July
- Access to a clinical system is limited to ‘stand-alone’ – the migration will take 4 days before we ‘go live’ on our new system.
- We will be able to receive emails.
- Urgent results and correspondence will be communicated directly to the practice during this time, but all routine communications will cease.
- Routine repeat prescriptions will not be processed.
Tuesday 22nd July – technical ‘go live'
- System configuration will commence.
Wednesday 23rd July - business ‘go live'
- System configuration continues.
- We will be using the new system ‘live’ for the first time.
- Appointment times are longer to accommodate for time to get used to it – appointments will be available on the day only.
- Results from the 16th of July to date will be processed and actioned by a GP during the morning.
- Resume processing routine repeat prescriptions.
- Can accept registrations.
Thursday 24th July
- System configuration continues.
- Appointment times are longer to accommodate for time to get used to it – appointments will be available on the day only.
Friday 25th July
- System configuration nearing completion.
- Appointments will be available to book ahead.
- Online services will be switched back on – you can register with the NHS Wales App via our website to book appointments and order prescriptions online.
We will endevour to maintain access to essential services during this time and would like to thank you for your patience.
Best wishes,
Partners of St Isan Road Surgery
